Happy 4th of July
I love the 4th of July there is something special about it. It is a happy, no pressure holiday. You don't have to buy gifts for anyone. There are free activities to attend. It is just a happy holiday that you get to spend with family and friends. This year I did something that I have always wanted to do which was to run a 5k. I loved it. It was crazy fun. I ran with my friend Rachel Lamplugh who just got called to serve in Winter Quarter Mission. There were 2018 people running the 5k. All sorts of people dressed up. There was one in a tutu, Captain American outfit. I think that I did pretty good for not running at all for months or years to be honest. I finished the race at 1655th place. It only took me 40 minutes and 15 seconds. I beat my goal which was not to come in last place. If worst came to worst the plan was that I would run in front of Rachel:) I also got a really cool race shirt that Namifiers made.

After the 5k race Michael along with Max picked us up and we went to Rachel's Grandma house and I was able to feed Max before the parade. I loved parades when I was young. I don't really like the Provo parade and I think the reason why is because the Layton parade is short and sweet. the Provo parade last for hours because it covers most of Utah county. Max also hated it! It was so loud from the sirens and the bands. He cried through most of it.

After the Parade we came back home and just took it easy. Michael BBQ the last of the salmon that he caught in Alaska last year. We then headed to Alta apartments to watch the fireworks from the stadium of fire. I will be honest I don't think the stadium of fire has as good as fireworks as Layton City. After the show we came home and crashed.

I enjoyed running the 5k so much that I think I will do it again next year. My new goal would be to beat the time that I got this year.
Today, Max rolled over for the first time. Michael put him on his tummy and I went into the other room and when I came back he had rolled over to his back. I then turned him back over to see if he would do it again and he did! But we tried to have him do it a third time and to our disappointment he did not do it.

Max is now a THREE months old
It has been a blast watching little Max grow. It is amazing to me how much a little baby learns in just three shorts months. Last week he was starting hit some toys from his jungle mobile with his fist. I could tell he was thinking and working very hard at trying to grab his toys. He was putting all his effort into it. He did not understand the concept of opening his hands to grab at the toys. Now about a week later he has learned to open his hands he so can grab his toys. He is getting so good at it that as soon as I put him down he has the music ringing.
Max is starting to laugh a lot more. It doesn't take much to get him laughing. Especially with his Daddy. It seems that anything that Michael does just makes little Max laugh. It is the cutest thing. It is easy to see how much Max loves his Daddy.
Max also got his first tooth on his three month birthday. I was very surprised because his cousin Ronen who is about five months older doesn't have any teeth yet. Because I was not expecting it I couldn't understand why he was acting a little grumpy until I saw his tooth and I realize that his month must be hurting. Poor kid. He seems to be doing a lot better.
I just love having Max around. I am so excited to continue to watch him grow.
I am so excited that we were able to get family pictures taken yesterday. I have been wanting some since Max was born. Camile Kellogg who was in my ward up at BYU-Idaho for a semester and also in my single ward down in Provo wrote on facebook that she was wanted some models to photograph because she would like to go into photography. I was very happy to let her take our pictures. So we drove up to Mapleton Canyon to take the pictures. I have never been up there before, but it turned out to be a gorgeous place to take pictures. I think the pictures turned out great. My favorite photo is of Max drooling. The only problem with the pictures is that Max did not want to look up. He wanted to look down. He likes to do that a lot and to drool. It does make me a little jealous how good Camile is but she told me that will be happy to teach me some of her tricks. Thanks Camile for taking great photos. We will have to try it again maybe when Max is a little older and will hold his head up.

Happy Father's Day a little late
I know I am a day behind but I do want to wish my dad and my husband Happy Father's Day. Throughout the day I was thinking of some good memories I have of my Dad that I would like to share at why I think that he is great. For one he is my hero. When I was about the age of three and I for some reason I walked off the boat. My Dad instantly thought that someone caught a big fish but no it was just me falling in. As soon as he realize that it was me bobbing around in the water. He jump right in and saved me. I was wearing a life jacket which helped too. He always encourages me to do my best. He would only be disappointed in me when he knew that I was not doing my best. He also was very patient with me. I was on a softball team and I am not very good with sports but in my heart I really wanted to be good. So he would spend hours with me playing with me and he would come to all my games. I never did become very good but I had a lot of fun playing softball with my dad. One of my biggest blessing I believe from my dad was the advise that I should go to BYU-Idaho. He sat me down on the computer and had me apply. He wanted me to go so that I could be there with my sister Colleen. Going to BYU-Idaho was the best thing for me to do. I was able to met great friends. I had great roommates. It is all because of my Dad.
Now for my Husband. I just love looking at him when he has little Maxwell. He truly glows. Max is his pride and joy. He wants to spend as much time with his son as he can. He loves playing with Max. I feel so blessed to have him as the father of my children because I know that he will do more than just provide for the family he will be their teacher, friend, parent, and much more. He is a great dad and I excited to see our family grow. I look forward to many happy memories that we will have together.

There and Back Again: A Namifiers Tale by Michael Marshall
It's not everyday that your boss call you up and asks, "Do you want to go to L.A. tomorrow?" Of course I had to say yes, who misses this kind of opportunity for adventure? Of course there were a few catches, I would be traveling with Nick, the VP of Sales, and we would be taking down 18 pieces of luggage, filling them up with Wickify race shirts for a Ragnar Marathon, turning around and flying back to L.A, then finally dropping them off in Logan.
So our adventure began...
Chris, my boss/COO of Namifiers, flew down with his wife early that morning. They would then await our shipment of 10,000 shirts to arrive from china, clear customs, and be released from the UPS warehouse. If all went well, there would be no reason for Nick and I to fly down and help out, but the shirts were not released to chris with enough time for him to drive them all to Logan so the next thing I knew, Nick and I were stuffing our suitcases into eachother and preparing them for the flight.
We arrived at the airport with 14 bags, 6 enclosed inside making for a total of 8 bags between 4 people. We pulled up to the skycap, payed $200 in fees to check the extra bags, checked them and then drove our van to the long term parking. Nick and I wern't sure if we were supposed to tip the sky cap guy, so when we got back to the terminal I ran up and gave him $5.
We ate 2 personal pan pizzas from pizza hut, boarded our plane, and we were off to la-la-land. We landed, found our bags, called chris and waited for him. He pulled up in a big white van with no windows on the side; you know, the ones you see the drug dealers/gangsters/bank robbers in the movies pull up in and kidnap the hero...
We went to UPS and waited for hours for them to release our precious cargo and finally 40 min before our return flight they brought it back to us, that is when the mad scramble began. The 4 of us started ripping open the boxes and stuffing shrits into the 18 suitcases as fast as humanly possible. We tried to keep things organized and get an equal amount of womens/mens sizes into the suitcases, but time was running out... When all but 3.5 bags were full we through in a bunch of boxes and the empty bags and started driving back to LAX. While Chris weaved his way through L.A's traffic, Nick and I were in the back frantically trying to get more boxes into the remaining suitcaes.
We were succefull in loading them, pulled up to the L.A. Skycab, found a guy and told him Chris would check our bags as Nick and I dashed off to catch the flight. We made it to the terminal and watched our bags being loaded. We called up Chris and asked him how it went, he told us that the baggage guy said, "you know, I don't have to charge you an extra bag fee for all these bags..."
Chris: "Oh yeah?"
Baggage Guy: You help me, I'll help you.
Chris: "Were is your nearest ATM?"
Chris gave the guy $150 bucks right there to avoid the $700 extra bag fee we were going to have to pay for the 14 extra bags. Gotta love the latin system...
Next Chris went back to UPS where his wife was waiting with the rest of our shirts and they started loading up the van for the drive back to Logan. They couldn't fit all of the boxes in, so they had to take 80% of the shirts out of their boxes and just stuff the van full of them, but amazingly enough they fit every remaining shirt into that van.
Nick and I made it back to SLC with all of our bags filled of an estimated 1800 of the 10,000 shirts. Stacy came to the airport with Max to help watch the bags while Nick watched the van, while I slowly brought the 18 bags out and loaded them up.
We all went to Dee's for some super late dinner and then continued our trek to Logan. We made it to the race around 2 AM where some ragnar race coordinators were waiting. We unpacked all of the shirts and sorted them out into piles of the proper size/gender of the shirts. Then Stacy, Max, and I went to Jer and Barbara's and slept there for a few hours.
The Ragnar people were able to devide up some of the shirts for the early morning runners and then we waited for Chris to show up with the rest of the shirts. I got a call around 9 telling me that he was almost there, so I woke up and went back to the race and helped sort out the rest of the shirts. We not only had to put them into sizes, but then we had to fill up each race teams bag with the requested amount of shirts.
We had one final hiccup in that ragnar only ordered 168 mens XL when they really needed closer to 1680... Pretty big mistake they made but there was nothing we could do as we had filled their order as requested. It sure was frustrating though because it looked to everyone there like it was our fault the shirts that wern't ordered wern't there... I'm not sure what they will end up doing about it, but we may be able to make the rest of the shirts at Namifiers and get them to them by the end of the 188 mile team race from Logan to Park City.
Unfortunaly due to all of the chaos I was only able to get two pictures... I'll post them after I see if anyone else has any more.

Namifiers Summer Party
The party was a big hit. They had bbq hot dogs and hamburgers and everyone's favorite carne. They had a water slide for the kids but I think the adults were the main ones going down it because of the rain. They also had pinata there for the kids to break. It was a little disappointing that it was a rainy cold day for june. But we did have some namifier fun.
Max is doing very well, he is already learning how to move. He knows how to position his feet just right, arch, and push off to move backwards. Last night Mikey and I found that he pushed himself against the corner of the crib. The sad thing was that he was still trying to move up the crib and kept ramming his head into the corener which upset him. He also is able to squim and go into a circle.
